NCOCA is offering Scholarships for prospective college students. It is fully funded by profits from our Breathe Aloha Fundraiser shop items and donations flagged specifically for the scholarship fund.
The dates are official!!! The 2022 IVF World Sprint Championships are being held August 7 to 16.
The event venue is world class--the 2012 Olympic Race Course at Dorney Lake, Windsor.
USA ORCA will be attending this event as mainland USA, for our very first time! Check back as we prepare plans for you, your club, your crew, to qualify to participate!
As clubs start training, challenge each other to this virtual race - while we can't ALL be together, we can gather to race on the water in small groups. Check with your club's site rules and invite neighboring clubs to scrimmage. Let May be the start of a great summer season!
Challenge starts on Mother's Day weekend, 5/7, and continues through Memorial Day weekend, ending on 5/31!
Race as many crafts, distances and crews that you like through the month. What craft can we race on? If it can be paddled, we will make it count. Checkout the registration page for details.

NCOCA is stoked to host our next virtual race register now!
NCOCA is happy to announce that the race clinic will be held on Sunday March 7, 2021 at 9:30 AM.
The clinic is open to all NCOCA club members- board of directors, coaches, safety officers, and paddlers.
This event is free of charge but we are requiring advanced registration, so please register with ample time.

NCOCA's Valentine's themed virtual race is a fundraising event to help support our member organizations.
Race any time, anywhere (close loop) on any watercraft (oc1, oc2, ski, SUP, or with your 6 man pod) between February 5 through February 15. The cost is $10/ paddler, 3 mile or 6 mile course. Registration starts on 2/2.

When you are ready to start your race, start your GPS and go! Make sure to document your time, path and submit a snapshot to firstname.lastname@example.org before 5PM on 2/15. To make the race a fair race, we ask that all courses start and finish on the same spot. Mahalo!

On September 16, 2018, the voyaging canoe and sister to Hōkōleʻa arrived in the San Francisco Bay after a 3000 mile voyage from Hawaii, greeted by the NCOCA Fleet of Canoes, Hawaii Chamber of Commerce Norther California, members of PICA, and the San Francisco community.
On September 15, 2018, Way finder and Master Navigator Nainoa Thompson, visited Northern California to share Hawaiian rebirth of its Wayfinding traditions with the Northern California Community. This event was co-sponsored by Hawaii Chamber Commerce Northern California, Pacific Islander Culture Association, and Northern California Outrigger Canoe Association.
After an approximately 25-day, 2,800-mile voyage from Hawaiʻi to California using traditional non-instrument navigation, Hikianalia and her crew will sail into San Francisco Bay for a cultural arrival ceremony and celebration at Aquatic Park Cove on Sunday, September 16, noon to 5 p.m. The public is welcome to attend the free event, which will feature Hawaiian music, hula, voyage-inspired merchandise, and an opportunity to meet the Hikianalia crew members. On September 17 and 18, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
